Die Stiftung finanziert sich aus Spenden und Gönnerbeiträgen von Privatpersonen und Firmen sowie aus Beiträgen von Stiftungen oder anderen Organisationen.

Das Startkapital der Stiftung beträgt CHF 60’000 und stammt von Carlo Schmid. Er hat diesen Betrag nach der Realisierung seines Traumes, als jüngster Pilot alleine um die Welt zu fliegen, erwirtschaftet.

Die Stiftung ist steuerbefreit und arbeitet nicht gewinnorientiert.
